TMM Tracking Money Movement

Terms of service

Version 2026-09-03. These terms apply to your use of Tracking Money Movement (“TMM”, “we”, “us”). By creating an account you agree to them.

1. What TMM is

TMM is a tool for reading your own financial statements and reporting what they say. It is a record-keeping and reporting product. It is not a bank, not a broker, not an accountant and not a financial adviser. Nothing in TMM is financial, investment, tax or legal advice, and no figure it shows should be relied on as the official position of any account — your bank's own statement is always the authority. If you want advice about your finances, your taxes or your investments, speak to a licensed financial adviser, accountant or tax professional. We cannot and do not fill that role.

2. Your account

3. Your data

The statements you upload and the figures derived from them are yours. You grant us only the permission needed to run the service for you: to store, process and display that data back to you, and to keep backups. We do not sell it, we do not share it with advertisers, and we do not use it to train models.

You can export or delete your data at any time from the settings page. Deleting your account removes your database and your uploaded files from live systems immediately and from backups within 30 days.

4. Optional AI features, on your own key

TMM's AI features are switched off unless you choose to paste in your own API key from a provider such as Anthropic (Claude) or OpenAI (ChatGPT). If you do:

5. Accuracy

TMM reads PDFs that banks format however they like, and reconciles what it reads against the totals those documents print. It is careful, and it tells you when a document does not reconcile — but it can still be wrong. Check anything that matters against your statement before acting on it, and never use TMM as the basis for a tax filing without verifying the underlying figures.

6. Acceptable use

7. Availability and price

The service is provided as-is and we do not promise uninterrupted availability. While in early access, TMM is free. If we introduce paid plans we will give you at least 30 days' notice by email, and your existing data will remain exportable regardless of what you choose.

8. Ending it

You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, or where required by law; except in cases of abuse we will give you notice and a chance to export your data.

9. Liability

To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you for any claim relating to the service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or one hundred US dollars. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including lost profits or losses arising from decisions you made using TMM's figures. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

10. Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes are announced by email at least 14 days before they take effect, and continuing to use the service after that means you accept them.
